Goals of the Right Track Project
The goals of The Right Track Project are to:
- Utilize proven and innovative solutions for moving youth
successfully into employment with opportunities for careers
in high growth, high demand industries
- Prepare youth for high-demand, high-growth jobs based on
their individual strengths and abilities
- Place qualified youth with appropriate training in jobs which
provide at least market-based wages for each occupation
- Assess at least 200 youth meeting the program’s criteria
and offer services to them each year
- Maintain a post-program competitive employment placement
rate that exceeds 55% (110 youth) employed in the competitive
market
- Provide youth with the foundational academic skills they
need to attain a high school diploma or GED, leading to post
secondary educational opportunities
- Create collaborative efforts in the workforce investment
system, local businesses, the educational system and the community
- Partner with local businesses to provide a trained labor
force of youth
