Training and Certification
The Right Track Project offers youth various types of training
and certification classes in the high growth industries. We also
work closely with our partner companies to tailor training to
meet their specific needs. The classes provide
an introduction to the skills needed to obtain employment. Each
class is taught by certified instructors that work in the respective
field, giving youth a practical feel of the industry.
The Right Track Project currently offers training in:
- Culinary - Culinary arts, health/nutrition
and kitchen safety
- Construction - Tools
and skills needed on a construction site, such as the use of
manual and power tools, blueprint reading, and estimating materials
costs
- Auto Mechanics -
Repairing automobiles; oil changes, spark plugs, changing and
rotating tires and other skills necessary for entry level employment
- Introduction to Computers - Computer
basics, typing, and internet searching
- Business Administration - Various
levels of administration in a business setting, including management,
finance, human resources, marketing, sales, and quality management
- Customer Service -
Communicating and interacting professionally with customers
- Clerical Training – Computers,
phone etiquette, customer service, and the use of office machines
- Cashier Training – Retail terminology,
use of cashiering systems, and customer service skills
- Broadcasting - TV
broadcasting and team building skills
