Youth

Youth are referred to our program initially because they are defined as at-risk and need assistance in rising above the odds of their environment. A recent national survey called "One-Third of a Nation" that shows that 30 percent of our youth drop out of school and don’t graduate. This makes grooming a pipeline of skilled workers a tremendous issue. One of the Department of Labor’s responses to this issue is to find alternative labor pools that can be trained to meet the demands of high growth businesses.  Our program does just that.
Youth can be referred to the Right Track Project by:

  • The court system, probation officers, parole officers, social workers, school officials, Department of Youth Corrections, Spring Creek Youth Services Center, teachers, and parents
  • Self-referral if they are 18 years or older
  • Hand writing  a referral form and faxing it to 633-3673
  • E-mailing a referral to our intake coordinator at michelled@ppbhg.org. If you would like a referral form faxed or e-mailed to you, please contact Michelle at 633-3662.

The eligibility requirements for the program are:

  • The Right Track Project serves individuals between the ages of 16-21, residing in El Paso or Teller Counties, who have had involvement in the judicial system.
